What we set, why, and how to change your mind.

The short version
This website sets no cookies at all unless you accept them. Nothing on the site is withheld if you decline — every page, price and form works exactly the same either way.
What we would like to set
If you accept, we load Google Analytics, which sets these cookies so it can tell one visit from another:

We use this only to see which pages people find useful and which towns our visitors come from, so we know where to put our effort. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell the data, and we run no advertising pixels or third-party trackers of any kind.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time — . If you reject after having accepted, we delete the analytics cookies straight away.
You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's own opt-out add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site you visit.
Cookies we never set
No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no fingerprinting, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
Live chat
Nothing from our chat provider loads until you press the green
WhatsApp chat button in the corner of the page.
When you do, the chat — run by
LeadConnector, the platform behind our booking and messaging
system — stores a few items in your browser's local storage so it
can keep your conversation going from page to page: a chat session
ID, and a note of how you arrived at the site (the page that
referred you, and any search or advert that brought you). We also
store one item of our own, spotfree-chat, which only
remembers that you opened the chat so it is still there on the
next page. The chat form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a
check that you are not a bot, which loads with it.
If you never press the button, none of this is stored. To remove it afterwards, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Other sites we link to
Getting a window cleaning price takes you to our booking system at instant-quote.spotfreeclean.co.uk, and paying takes you to GoCardless or Stripe. Those are separate services with their own cookie policies, and this one does not cover them.
