Who we are
Spotfree Limited (trading as SPOTFREE Cleaning Services), company number 12690825, is the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us atspotfree@hotmail.co.uk or on0115 953 3925.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly through this website:
- Enquiry and booking forms — your name, email address, phone number, property address and postcode, details about your property, and anything you type into a message box or attach as a photograph.
- Job applications — your name, contact details, employment history, references and any CV you upload.
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful and which areas our visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects an anonymised IP address. It does not load at all unless you accept, and nothing on the site is withheld if you decline. Full detail, and how to change your mind, is on ourcookie policy.
We run no advertising pixels, no social media trackers and no third-party embeds.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quotation
- To arrange, carry out and invoice for the work you have booked
- To send you a reminder text the evening before a visit
- To consider you for a role, where you have applied for one
Our lawful basis is either performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered to us through Netlify, who host this website. If you accept analytics cookies, Google receives anonymised usage data about your visit. Payments are handled by GoCardless and Stripe, who each have their own privacy notices and collect your payment details directly — we never see or store your card or bank details ourselves. Beyond those, we do not pass your information to third parties except where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and customer records for as long as you remain a customer plus the period our accountants and HMRC require. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for six months and then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to us using it, and to ask us to restrict how we use it. Emailspotfree@hotmail.co.uk and we will deal with it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how this website handles your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
